Officers - Retail Banking Unit (Malta and Gozo)

The Bank is seeking to recruit Officers to join its Retail Banking Unit.

What are we looking for?

The Bank is seeking to recruit various Officers within different career streams of our Retail Banking Unit - from supervisory to administrative roles. The selected candidates will be working in their appropriate career stream depending on their level of experience and quaifications. 

Duties and responsibilities

The selected candidates will be responsible to:

  • carry out diversified support activities of a commercial, administrative or operative nature;
  • experienced candidates will be responsible to coach junior staff by guiding them in their tasks in addition to assisting the Branch Manager to lead the team;
  • ensure a high level of personalised customer service; and
  • achieve the Bank's objectives of profitability and business growth.

Competencies and experience

Candidates must be reliable, trustworthy team players with unquestionable integrity. They must show an aptitude for learning, capability to work in a dynamic environment and be well-organised. A good knowledge of MS Office applications is essential. 

You must also:

  • possess a Diploma/Degree in Business Management or Banking and Finance;
  • be familiar with banking accounting, banking fundamentals, foreign operations and cashier/front office duties;
  • ideally, have previous experience in a similar role;
  • adopt a customer-centric and target driven approach to work;
  • have good analytical skills and attention to detail;
  • be proactive and meticulous in your work; and
  • possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Maltese.
